Created for Greatness

Day 1 - Created for Greatness

Greatness is not merely having money, occupying a prominent position, or becoming famous. True greatness begins with discovering God's purpose for your life and fulfilling it. You were created in the image of God. This means that your life carries divine potential. When God created humanity, His first pronouncement was a blessing. He commanded man to be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it, and exercise dominion. God did not create you for a life of perpetual defeat and insignificance. There is a seed of greatness within you. Like every natural seed, however, it must be discovered, developed, planted, and nurtured before its potential becomes visible. David was carrying the seed of a king while tending sheep. Joseph carried governmental greatness while serving as a slave. Esther carried the potential of a queen before she entered the palace. Their circumstances could not cancel what God had deposited within them. Never allow your present condition to become the definition of your future. Where you are today is not necessarily where you will end tomorrow. Begin this month with a new understanding of yourself. Refuse to despise what God has placed within you. Develop your gifts, increase your knowledge, strengthen your character, and walk faithfully with God. Your seed may appear small today, but when it is placed in God's hands and properly cultivated, it can become a blessing to generations.
